Jazz & Performance Company
Aimed at students who already have technical knowledge in Jazz, Classical and/or Contemporary Ballet, as well as knowledge of Acrobatic and/or Rhythmic Gymnastics, and who want to more intensely explore the Performance component and stage work, through learning a varied Jazz repertoire.
Entry is by audition, where participants must demonstrate the technique already learned so far. To be eligible, students must also be enrolled in Jazz and/or Ballet classes at EDSAE, or any other artistic school.
Students will perform at least one solo performance on the stage of the Liceu Camões auditorium (June). They may, however, join and participate in other mixed presentations during the academic year (December and June). During the school year, they will also be able to participate in national dance competitions.
The project is under the artistic direction of JP Costa, but during the academic year, different choreographers will be able to join the company's teaching staff.
